Project Highlights: Low-odor, reflective roofing coatings were used as an energy efficient solution over the Modified Bitumen roof system and may help to contribute to LEED credits. The safety of the hospital patients, staff, visitors, and vendors were considered in the development of our safety plans and constant communication between Perry Roofing and the hospital staff was key. Pre-planning meetings determined staging areas for materials, scaffolds, dumpsters, and ladders along with building and roof access. The 24/7 nature of the hospital environment requires unique logistics. We accommodated by installing special charcoal filters over the intake vents to help prevent odors from entering the building. Special care was taken when working over operating rooms, emergency rooms and other sensitive areas of the hospital. Throughout the project, some of our crews worked overnight to help prevent disruptions to regular hospital operations.
